Good Morning Families!
We are a week and a half into our remote learning! With the success of making it as far as we have, we also want to stay motivated to keep moving forward! Below are some tips and tricks that may help daily routines with your child: Take Frequent Breaks: This is essential, even in school, to take breaks between activities. Let your child plan their day (structured) or give choices for what to do next: If you give your child a list of things that need to be accomplished for the day, have them rearrange the tasks in a manner that they would enjoy! That way, they can take charge of their day and the tasks you need completed will get done! Pacing of your Day: Parents, creating a school day at home can be challenging while trying to keep pace with what we do at school. Please reach out if you would like assistance. Change of Scenery: If the weather allows it, take your at home classroom outside! Reduce the Workload: This can tie into taking frequent breaks. Break down tasks into smaller pieces and tie in more rest or brain breaks in between! You know your child best! Pick and choose from each academic section. You do not need to complete everything in one sitting! Listen to Music: Music can be great for taking dance breaks, but it can also, when instrumental, create a peaceful atmosphere for learning and reading! If you have not yet finished your new animal alert, it is A-OK to work on that instead of exploring Scholastic News. We cannot wait to see your new discoveries!
