We will have two Zoom sessions today. 9:00 Math – review of 3-D shapes 11:00 Class Meeting – Mrs. Limondin is hoping to join us Wow – I have been SO IMPRESSED with the projects your children have been creating. The boats and bridges are amazing. Make sure you check them out in our Learning Gallery Week 8. Today’s assignments have been uploaded.
Our 9:00 math meeting will occur this morning as well as the 10:30 reading groups. You will have an activity that will focus on reading fluency. Please have your child read through the passage a few times. When they are comfortable with the passage, please record their reading on SeeSaw and submit. In math we will continue looking at 3-D shapes. We have another fun STEM activity for you. Go to Scholastic and check it out. Your assignments for Wednesday have been loaded. Check out Chapter 2 of Mrs. Buckley’s book.
For Wednesday you will be doing another STEM activity. Animals sometimes have trouble crossing things safely. Humans can help by building animal bridges! Pretend some animals need to be able to cross a stream, road, or big hole in the ground. Use blocks, boxes, sticks, or any other building materials you have to build a bridge to help the animals. You may create your bridge indoors or outdoors. If you are outside, can you build your bridge using all materials from nature? For Wonders you will be involved with your Reading Groups, an I Spy activity, and games reinforcing: Cause and Effect, High Frequency Words, Phonics. For Math you will be learning about 3-D shapes and then going on a Shape Hunt. Have a great Wednesday. I can’t wait to see all the Coolcat Bobcats on Thursday morning. We have added a new link on our website. Be sure to check out: Read Alouds with Mrs. Buckley. Your children can join Mrs. Buckley on Wally’s adventures.
I am loving our daily math meetings. Beginning tomorrow I will not be loading onto SeeSaw any of the Math Boxes or Home Links. You have two options for this work: if you are at my math meeting we will do these together. If you are not able to attend our math meetings there will be a downloadable file. I have uploaded today’s assignments. With Math we will continue to focus on fractions. With Wonders we continue looking at Main Idea and Key Details. Later on today I will upload tomorrow’s assignments also. Thank you for your flexibility with this - - I really appreciate it. Happy Monday –
