You can listen to it being read, or try reading it independently. Lissy’s friends were created by using a craft called Origami. TO DO:This week we are reading about sharing traditions. It is a tradition in first grade to take time to remember how you have grown! Throughout the school year, you have made amazing growth and experienced many remarkable things! Take a moment to think about the things you have learned, the projects you have created, and the memories that you have made. Print the sign below. I have attached a copy of my poster as an example. Use pictures and words to decorate the sign with memories that you have of first grade, and then share it on SeeSaw! I will be putting your poster in another year-end video.

Everyday Math Lesson 9-5 Vending Machine Addition and Subtraction Today’s Skills: Apply a variety of strategies to add and subtract 2-digit numbers. Go to Lesson 9-5 and click on Boxes: 2 (discuss the Math Message with someone at home), 5(Math Boxes), and 6(Home Link) Vending Machine: Adding 2-digit numbers. Pick items from the Vending Machine (file attached). Add the totals together. What strategy did you use to add the items?
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: More practice adding. Print the file below and fill it with snacks of your choice. Price your snacks and then show how much it would cost to buy some of these snacks! Try adding three snacks and getting the total. I'd love to see your finished work, so please upload it to SeeSaw!
