We are so excited about Monday’s Field Trip down to the Stockbridge Theatre to watch June B. Jones. We have loved reading several of these books in class. We had a conversation last week about dressing up for this performance. If possible, please send your child in somewhat neater clothes since we will be representing New Boston Central School. Your children all agreed that they wanted “to look nice” for this wonderful event. Just a reminder - - you will need to pack a snack and lunch for your child. Snack will take place on the bus ride down to the theatre. We will have lunch after the performance down at the theatre. We will not have coolers to keep lunches cold...and no glass, please.
Our AIR time with Mark Ragonese was so much fun. We learned how to paint the strips of fabric that will be used for the Wish Flags. They are so colorful and very beautiful.
Odiorne Field Trip – a permission slip will be going home shortly. Just a reminder...IF YOU PLAN ON JOINING US, YOU MUST BE AN APPROVED VOLUNTEER AND HAVE BEEN FINGER PRINTED.
T-shirts: Our t-shirts came in late last week. I’ll be sending home a notice with the final cost on Monday. The shirts look fantastic! Thanks for your support on this.
This week we will not have any new Wonders topics. Instead we will be reviewing and assessing.

We had so much fun planting trees last Friday. Each First Grader had the opportunity to plant two trees. Over the next several years they will learn how to trim these trees so that when they are Sixth Graders...they can cut one of the trees down and take it home. How cool is that!!!
